Maygen Kerrigan was born in Tennessee, but was raised in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She spent most of her school days making collaborative comics with her friends and drawing in math class.  In college, her favorite class was experimental digital art. Maygen studied Studio/Digital Arts at Christopher Newport University, where she graduated with a Bachelors.

She lives in Richmond with her cat, Owen Wilson, where she works at a small print shop as Lead Graphic Designer and is doing her best to draw every day.
